Six (6) On-Demand Hours: The 6 on-demand hours include topics on opioid and substance use disorders and may count toward the new DEA-MANDATED, eight-hour training on the treatment and management of patients with opioid or other substance use disorders, effective June 27, 2023.
Meeting the New DEA Requirement: A DO needing all 8 hours to count toward the new DEA requirement may fulfill their responsibility by completing all 6 on-demand hours and the 2-hour Prescribing Controlled Substances CME on Saturday.
The AAFP has reviewed the 2023 FSACOFP Convention and deemed it acceptable for up to 23.00 Live AAFP Prescribed credits. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
